As many as 18 employees of SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant in three groups have been selected for the Vishwakarma Rastriya Puraskar 2018.
Government of India has announced Vishwakarma Rastriya Puraskar for performance year 2018.
Satya Narayan Mehar, Bhimlal, Jamil Khan, Shiv Kumar Sahu, Kamlesh Gabel and Milind Bodhankar have bagged the Category ‘B’ award from Plate Mill. Their Project was fabrication of blade changing of blades of side trimming shear of Plate Mill. This has facilitated operators to achieve precise control, increasing mill availability, yield and special quality production.
Baidu Prasad Sen, Ashok Kumar Khobragade, R Dinesh, Santosh Kumar Jain, Ms. Neeta Sarware and Hemant Kumar Adil have bagged the Category ‘C’ award from Plate Mill for inventing automatic control system for consistency in the rolling of accurate thickness of Plates at Plate Mill.
Shailendra Sahu, Ram Kumar Deshmukh, Ram Narayan Mahipal, Samir Ghosh, Lekh Ram Adil and Laxmi Narayan have bagged the Category ‘C’ award from Blast Furnace 7 for their modification for enabling right sinter stream to charge both Coke and Sinter in BF 7 of Bhilai Steel Plant.
Anirban Dasgupta, Director I/c BSP, Anjani Kumar, ED (Works) and senior officials have congratulated the Vishwakarama Rashtriya Puraskar awardees. It is worth mentioning that as many as 653 employees of Bhilai Steel Plant have so far been selected for Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar in 142 groups since the awards were instituted in year 1966.
