Rehabilitation to Revival’ Campaign Registers Major Success

Chhattisgarh has achieved a historic breakthrough in its decisive campaign against Left Wing Extremism. Under the ‘Poona Margham’ initiative, 52 Maoist cadres associated with the South Sub-Zonal Bureau have renounced violence and arms, choosing instead to join the democratic system and the mainstream of development.
A cumulative reward of Rs 1.41 crore had been announced on these cadres, making this surrender drive one of the largest and most significant strategic successes to date.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai described the development as a decisive victory of public faith over the ideology of violence. He said that the surrender of a total of 81 Maoists in the last 48 hours is a clear indication that Maoism is not merely weakening but is rapidly disintegrating.
The Chief Minister stated that in Bastar, not only the Maoist organisation but also its distorted ideology and entire support system have collapsed. He said that areas once gripped by fear, misinformation and coercion are now witnessing strong administrative presence, proactive security forces and effective implementation of development schemes, which has restored public confidence.
Under the ‘Rehabilitation to Revival’ campaign, the state government is providing security, dignity, livelihood opportunities and a respectable life to misguided youth who abandon violence and return to the mainstream. The large-scale surrender, he said, is a direct reflection of the trust inspired by this policy.
The Chief Minister credited this success to the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, stating that the resolve of a Naxal-free India by March 31, 2026 is now moving rapidly towards its final goal. He asserted unequivocally that there is no place for violence in Chhattisgarh, adding that in Bastar, the future is now replacing fear, with roads, schools, healthcare services, livelihood opportunities and governance steadily gaining strength.
