MCL observes vigilance awareness week

With an aim to make India corruption-free, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) inaugurated a week-long observance of Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW-2021) from October 26 to November 1 at its Headquarters in Sambalpur.  

At the outset, CMD MCL P K Sinha administered the CVC’s integrity pledge virtually to all the employees of MCL in the presence of Baban Singh, Director (Technical/ Project & Planning), and P K Patel, CVO, MCL.

Inaugural Ceremony was followed by flagging off of Vigilance Rath by Baban Singh, Director (Technical/ Project & Planning) for conducting awareness drives in Sambalpur and inauguration of selfie point at company headquarters.

In the evening, a seminar was organized at the auditorium in company headquarters in which Baban Singh, Director (Technical/ Project & planning) was present as chief guest whereas B Majhi, Vice-Chancellor, Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla presented a keynote address on this year’s theme Independent India @75: Self Reliance with Integrity. The program ended with a vote of thanks by S K Shukla, General Manager (Vigilance).

Apart from this, during Vigilance Awareness Week various programs are planned to be organized by the Vigilance Department for the employees, service providers, consumers, and students.
