The Country’s largest power generator- NTPC Ltd., with a present group installed capacity of 66,900 MW, declared the unaudited financial results for second quarter/first half (Q2/H1) of financial year 2021-22 (FY22) on 28 October, 2021.
NTPC group has recorded gross generation of 90.97 Billion Units in Q2 FY22 and 176.78 Billion Units in H1 FY22 as against 77.93 Billion Units and 145.88 Billion Units during the previous periods of last year registering an increase of 16.74 per cent and 21.19 per cent respectively. On standalone basis, the gross generation of NTPC for Q2 FY22 was 74.81 Billion Units and in H1 FY22 was 146.56 Billion Units as compared to 67.67 Billion Units and 127.86 Billion Units in the corresponding previous periods registering an increase of 10.55 per cent and 14.63 per cent respectively.
Coal stations achieved a Plant Load Factor of 69.63 per cent as against National Average of 57.70 per cent with an availability factor of 89.44 per cent.
On standalone basis, Total Income in Q2 FY22 was Rs 29,273 crore as against Rs 26,023.33 crore in Q2 FY21. Total Income for H1 FY22, was Rs 56,075.25 crore as against Rs 50,044.33 crore in H1 FY21, registering an increase of 12.05 per cent. For Q2 FY22, PAT was Rs 3,211.91 crore as against Rs 3,504.80 crore in Q2 FY21. PAT for H1 FY22 was Rs 6,357.54 crore as against Rs 5,974.96 crore in H1 FY21 registering an increase of 6.40 per cent.
On consolidated basis, Total Income in Q2 FY22 was Rs 33,095.67 crore as against Rs 28,677.64 crore in Q2 FY21. Total Income for H1 FY22 was Rs 63,486.27 crore as against Rs 55,472.32 crore in H1 FY21, registering an increase of 14.45 per cent. For Q2 FY22, PAT was Rs 3,690.95 crore as against Rs 3,494.61 crore in Q2 FY21. PAT for H2 FY22 was Rs 7,134.67 crore, as against Rs 6,443.55 crore in H1 FY21, registering an increase of 10.73 per cent.
