Tata Steel’s outsourcing office attacked in Jharkhand

Motorcycle borne miscreants struck at the office housing Tata Steel’s vendors in Ramgarh district and hurled bomb besides opening fire.

The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Ghato police station Saturday today. Police sources said three people in a motorcycle reached the office located in Jharna Basti and had a brief talk with the employees. The office houses outsourcing companies of Tata Steel.

They rushed out and lobbed two bombs they were carrying before opening fire. The outer wall of the office cabin has been damaged by the bombing while five persons sustained injuries in the attack. Of them three belonged to GS Otwal Company and one each from Tycoon and SIS Security.

The injured were rushed to the nearest hospital where condition of all five are reported to be out of danger. The incident created panic in the area as the miscreants comfortably fled the spot after committing the crime.

Senior police officials rushed to the spot while police launched a massive hunt to track down the criminals. The police suspect involvement of local gang engaged in extortion activities.
