A woman fully clad in wedding finery; feeding the underprivileged by sitting at a public place is a surreal scene. But wedding photographer Nilanjan Mondal has captured the touching moment on camera.

The photograph of a Bengali woman dressed in a pink saree with golden jewellery seen distributing leftover wedding food to the underprivileged is going viral for obvious reasons. Mondal caught the inspiring moment at Ranaghat station, a suburb station of Kolkata in West Bengal where she was seen distributing the food from the reception feast to the needy at 1 am.

The woman was clicked with metal buckets and big containers filled with food and serving meals on paper plates by herself. Mondal, who identified the woman as Papiya Kar, said it was her brother’s wedding reception and a huge quantity of food was leftover.

Papiya took it upon herself to deliver it to those in need. From elderly women to little children, rickshaw pullers and more, all gathered near her to get a serving of the lavish meal that too served with a smile.

  1. You are such a great author. I can see your point clearly! Thanks for sharing this lovely article. By the way, what about super hero tv series, you know like The Flash from DC Comics? Will be lovely if you have review about that as well. Thank you!
