Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL), a Bhopal-based construction and infrastructure development company, has bagged the contract for removing the overburden (OB) in the Annupur project of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL).
“DBL has emerged as L-l bidder for a new OB Removal Contract Mining work for Amadand OCP (open cast project), Jamuna Kotma Area, Tehsil- Kotma, District Annupur in the State of Madhya Pradesh,” the company said in a regulatory filing today. The project is valued at Rs 2683.02 crore.
L-1 or “Selected Bidder” means the Qualified Bidder who is eligible to participate in the reverse auction and has submitted the lowest Final Price Offer at the conclusion of the reverse auction.
The contract profile includes hiring heavy earth moving machinery (HEMM) and allied equipments’ for over burden removal, loading in to tippers, transportation and unloading of excavated materials and silt, dumping, dozing, scrapping/removal of all bands, preparation/maintenance of haul road, water sprinkling and spreading of excavated material at the site shown and levelling dumps as per direction of the Management /Engineer-in-Charge for a period of 1795 days at Amadand OCP, Jamuna Kotma Area, DBL said.
SECL, the flagship arm of Coal India Limited (CIL), is the largest coal producing entity of state-run miner. The coal reserves of SECL straddle over two States of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Of the 89 mines that the Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh-headquartered company is operating, 35 are in the State of Madhya Pradesh and 54 in Chhattisgarh besides a Coal Carbonization Plant namely Dankuni Coal Complex (DCC) at Dankuni in West Bengal on lease basis from Coal India Limited.
With the coal demand is on the rise and CIL has set an ambitious target of achieving 1 billion tonne of coal production by FY2023-24, SECL will have a significant contribution in the mammoth target.
