A day after Hemant Soren government introduced the Mob Lynching Prevention Bill 2021, a group of villagers brutally bashed up a youth who had come to meet her girlfriend.

The sensational video surfaced on Wednesday that has stunned the authorities. According to reports, the incident occurred in the Kasmar village under the Lesliganj police station area in ​​Palamu district.

The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Khustar Ansari, a resident of Jhabar village of Satbarwa block. The youth or his family members refused to lodge a complaint with the police.

Police station in-charge Gautam Kumar Rai said they had received no complaint but based on the video that had been in circulation, they have started the investigation.
