JSPL sets up Covid care centre in Raigarh

Raipur, September 11

In a major step taken to prevent Covid-19 pandemic in Raigarh, Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) has set up a Covid Care Center at model town of Kerajhar in Raigarh district.

The centre will have a capacity of 90 beds. It would provide health care to infected persons.

The senior officials of the district and police administration inaugurated the centre through video conference. The centre would benefit the people staying in the entire Raigarh area and would be overseen by a team of doctors from Fortis-OP Jindal Hospital operated under the aegis of JSPL Foundation.

The officials said JSPL deserved the credit for the construction of Covid Care Center with adequate facilities in a very short notice. The residents of Raigarh are also availing the benefits of True-Net laboratory established at the Fortis-OP Jindal Hospital for Covid19 testing. Since there were only 10 beds for Covid infected people in the hospital, the 90-bed Covid Care Center would provide considerable relief to the people of the area.

Chhattisgarh COO of JSPL Dinesh Kumar Saraogi said, “Our Chairman Mr. Naveen Jindal considers healthcare the top most services to humanity, so the company is always ready to cooperate with the administration in prevention of the disease through Fortis-OP Jindal Hospital.”

Dr. Major Rajeshwar Bhati, COO of Fortis-OP Jindal Hospital, informed that the three-storied Covid Care Center would treat “asymptomatic” or “mild synoptic” (without symptoms or mild symptoms) infected persons. There will be Male and female wards at the center and CCTV cameras have also been arranged. Dr. Anil Kumar Gupta has been made in-charge of this center.
