Raipur, January 5

The strike called by a couple of workers union in the SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant today failed to evoke response as the flagship entity of the state-run steel maker maintained its normal pace of production on January 5, 2022.

On a day when a strike had been called by couple of workers union, employees attended their normal duties in different shifts, thereby ensuring that Plant operations in different shops and departments and administrative work continued undisturbed.

From Coke Ovens to Sinter Plants to Blast Furnaces, Steel Melting Shops, finishing mills and all supporting shops and departments, employees went about discharging their regular duties to ensure that different operations, maintenance and repair jobs as well as administrative work continued in first, second and General shifts. Attendance was normal in these shifts, rendering the strike call ineffective.
