After constantly curtaining the price of steel making raw material since July 2021, the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has slightly increased the price of iron ore in the latest revision of rate.
The country’s largest iron ore miner said it had fixed the prices of lump ore at Rs 5200 per tonne and that of iron ore fines at Rs 4260 per tonne. The prices exclude royalty, District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET), cess, forest permit fee, and other taxes.
The revised prices would come into effect from January 30, the company said in a regulatory filing today.
The company has been curtailing the iron ore prices since July 2021. In the last revision that was effective from December 28, 2021, NMDC had fixed the prices of lump ore at Rs 4900 per tonne and that of iron ore fines at Rs 4060 per tonne. Compared to the previous month, the price of lump and fines recorded a hike of 6 per cent and 5 per cent respectively.
