Chhattisgarh gets incentive for auctioning mines

The Centre has given an incentive of Rs 40 lakh to Chhattisgarh for auctioning two mines in the state.

“To ensure optimal utilisation of mineral reserves in Chhattisgarh, Rs 40 lakh has been provided to the State,” Union Minister of Coal and Mines Pralhad Joshi said in a tweet. The amount has been given as an incentive for successfully auctioning 2 mineral blocks and will help in improving mining infrastructure in the State, he added.

The Ministry has also given incentive to the state of Andhra Pradesh. “Committed to the welfare of people of Andhra Pradesh, Govt has paved the way for scaling up mining activities in the State. @MinesMinIndia has distributed Rs 60 lakh incentive for auctioning 3 mineral blocks,” Joshi said.

The amount can be utilised for improving Andhra Pradesh’s mining infrastructure, the Minister said.
