In recognition for its excellent safety record and outstanding performance over the years, Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) was conferred with the National Award in Mine Safety.

An award ceremony was organized by the Directorate General of Mines Safety, Government of India at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi . Union Minister of Labor and Employment Bhupinder Yadav was the chief guest at the function.

AEL was selected following strict evaluation of the safety parameters deployed at its Parsa East Kete Basen (PEKB) Open Mine from 2018 to 2020.

On behalf of AEL, the award for 2020 was received by Sanjay Kumar Singh, Cluster Head, PEKB and Rajani Ranjan, Inspector Workmen mine. For the year 2019, the prize was handed over to Rajeev Raman- Mines Manager and Dharamraj Singh – Inspector workmen mine. While R K Sharma CMD, RRVUNL and Pradeep Kumar – Inspector workmen mining were conferred with the award for the year 2018.

Adani Enterprises Limited is the flagship arm of India’s largest business conglomerate Adani Group and carries out mining development and operation in PEKB open cast mine allotted to Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited.

The mining operation was handed over to AEL following an open and competitive bidding process. As a responsible miner, AEL ensured uninterrupted operations at the mining sites even during the Covid-19 global pandemic. It is noteworthy here that it continued to meet its goals while adhering to all covid safety protocols and accorded maximum importance to the health and safety of its personnel and their family members. Besides, AEL also undertakes many programs to ensure quality education, health, livelihood promotion and infrastructure development under its corporate social responsibility programs.
