Additional General Manager of the NTPC Limited Ajay Kumar will be the new Director (Technical), Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Ltd (CMPDIL).
The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the name of Kumar for the post. In all, nine candidates including Ajay Kumar were in the fray for the post.
A pass out from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, Ajay Kumar spent 20 years in Operation and Maintenance of thermal power plants including PF as well as CFBC boilers.
Presently associated with the ERP core group of NTPC looking after implementation of SRM module at all offices of NTPC.
The Central Mine Planning and Design Institute is a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL) that is under the ownership of Ministry of Coal of the Government of India, engaged in the field of environmental engineering and provides consultancy and engineering services across the globe. It is a public sector undertaking under the Government of India and is rated as a Schedule-B and Mini Ratna-II company.
