Even as Grand Alliance partners snarl for seat sharing in Bihar, RJD struck at its own “house” and split important ally RLSP.

The state unit chief of RLSP, Bhudeo Choudhary today joined the RJD. The development came as a big jolt to the RLSP, though a small but important constituent of the RJD.

Bhudeo joined the party in presence of the state RJD president, Jagdananad Singh and leader of opposition in assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.

RLSP is headed by former union minister of state for education Upendra Kushwaha who was earlier with NDA and had joined Grand Alliance before the Lok Sabha elections.

In another development, the RJD welcomed an NDA constituent Ms Lovely Anand to its fold. Former MP from Vaishali today joined the RJD at the residence of the former chief minister Rabri Devi.

Her son Chetan too joined RJD. Lovely’s husband Anand Mohan Singh, a former MP of Samta Party from Sheohar, is lodged in jail following his conviction for life in the murder of the then DM of Gopalganj, M Krishnaiah.

Lovely had defeated Ms Kishori Sinha, wife of the former chief minister, Dateyndra Narain Sinha.

Soon after joining RJD, Lovely alleged Nitish Kumar was harassing her husband and hatched a conspiracy to put him behind the bar. Her son alleged Nitish was unreliable and against the Rajputs.
