Coal India arm Mahanadi Coalfields Limited to set up Digital dispensaries

In a major boost to health care facilities, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), an arm of Coal India Limited (CIL), will set up digital dispensaries with telemedicine terminals and video conferencing facilities.

In digital dispensaries, the patient will get the facility of treatment from specialist doctors without having to visit them physically. This will enable its employees at remote locations to have medical consultation with specialist doctors stationed at Regional and Central hospitals of the company.

Initially, 6 dispensaries/ hospitals namely Balram dispensary, Kaniha dispensary, Basundhara Regional Hospital, Lakhanpur Regional Hospital, Rampur dispensary and Anand Vihar Hospital at MCL headquarter will have this facility in MCL.
