Sailing up the river and pedaling through the streets, cops of Madhya Pradesh police have launched a campaign with different colours to celebrate the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign with pomp and patriotism.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Madhya Pradesh police are organising different programmes as part of the programme. The “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign is part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a national initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate India’s 75th year of Independence.
Right from the metro cities to far flung villages tucked away unobtrusively, the officers and jawans of Madhya Pradesh police are reaching out to the people and prompting them to celebrate the campaign. The drive is paying the desired dividends.
“For the surprise of the team, an elderly woman in Prithvipur offered Rs 20 to the Sub Divisional Officer of Police and urged to make the campaign a grand success,” a senior officer said, speaking about the spirit of the people. A team of policemen sailed up the Tapti Lake waving the national tricolour that evoked enthusiastic response from people lined up on the banks.
A human chain was formed by the police with the tricolor flag at Saapna dam in which 50 policemen participated.
The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Vivek Raj Singh has set out on a 170 km cycle journey appealing people to hoist the tricolor at their homes.
Sagar Police also conducted a 75 km trip through 75 vehicles in all the rural stations of the district using Triple 75 in which the tricolor flag was hoisted on 75 houses and establishments and appealed to all citizens to buy the tricolor flag and hoist it with full respect.
As part of Independence Week, Tricolor Yatra was taken out by police and students in Naxal-affected areas while in villages of Dindori Mandla district, police also launched an extensive campaign to ensure every home hoist the Tricolor.
Superintendent of Police Mandla visited Naxalite affected villages and took out rallies and distributed clothes and sports materials to people of Baiga community.
