Two research scholars of mass communication department of Kushabhau Thackeray University of Journalism and Mass Communication (KTUJMC) and senior journalists K N Kishore and Awadhesh Mishra have been awarded PhD (Doctoral of Philosophy) in the subject of Mass Communication.
Kishore has completed his research work on the title “Use of Social Media for Political Communication – A Study on Facebook and Twitter use by Political Parties (A Special Reference to Chhattisgarh)” while Awadhesh researched on “Comparative analysis of primetime programmes on national and regional channels”.
Both completed their research under the supervision of Dr Shahid Ali, Head, Department of Mass Communication.
Congratulating the research scholars on getting PhD degree, Dr Ali said that research work had been taken up regularly by the Mass Communication Research Center on various aspects of media research. It is noteworthy that so far 12 research scholars have obtained PhD degree in the Department of Mass Communication.
University Vice Chancellor Professor Baldev Bhai Sharma and Registrar Dr Anand Shankar Bahadur have congratulated the research scholars.
