Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will join the investigations in mining scam following summons from Enforcement Directorate with a bang on Thursday.

He had refused to appear on November 3. Earlier, the federal agency had turned down his request to quiz on Wednesday—a day before the schedule.

Soren will to the ED office from the Morabadi Grounds in a road show. JMM has organised a massive assembly  of it’s workers who reached a day earlier at Morabadi Maidan.

Chief Minister addressed the workers at the Maidan and alleged the anti-tribal, anti-dalit forces led by BJP are trying to come out of submarines after three years of their defeat in the state. He said the conspirators engaged in destabilising him should be exposed as they were misusing central agencies.

Congress leaders cancelled their trip to Maharashtra to join Bharat Jodo yatra. Jharkhand Pradesh Congress President Rajesh Thakur said in view of the current political situation, Finance Minister Alamgir Alam, Health Minister Banna Gupta and other MLAs who were scheduled to join Rahul Gandhi led yatra have cancelled their trip.

JMM also directed it’s leaders to stay at Ranchi. A meeting of JMM legislature party was held to express faith in the leadership of Hemant Soren.

AICC General Secretary Awinash Pandey was briefed about the political scenario by Hemant Soren today.

Uncertainty prevailed following the visiting President Droupadi Murmu and Governor Ramesh Bais distancing themselves from the Jharkhand state foundation day celebrations here on Tuesday. They were at Ranchi and their participation was announced earlier.

Following ED summons to the Chief Minister, the head of the country and state at last minute decided against joining platform with Hemant Soren.

On Thursday, former MLA of BJP Jayaprakash Verma joined JMM with other BJP leaders  from Bagodar, Jamua  and Gandey.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand unit of the BJP also convened a meeting of its leaders here today. BJP State President Dipak Prakash said all former Chief Ministers, MPs and MLAs of the party attended the meeting that was joined by about 400 leaders from different districts through virtual mode.

Party asked its leaders to counter charges levelled against BJP involvement in the alleged conspiracy against Hemant Soren.
