Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today unfurl the National Flag in the headquarters of Bastar and major announcements for people of the state on the occasion of Republic Day.
It included unemployment allowance to jobless youth every month from the next financial year. The state government would also grant Rs 10,000 from coming fiscal to each gram panchayat for organizing tribal festivals in Bastar division, Surguja division and scheduled areas of the state.
A new scheme will be launched to establish women groups, women entrepreneurs, women businessmen and women led start-ups in the business sector. After promoting and cherishing the culture and heritage of Chhattisgarh, State Government has decided to constitute Chhattisgarh State Innovation Commission. This commission will contribute towards pacing up the progress of the state through innovation, Baghel said.
On the auspicious occasion of the 74th Republic Day, Baghel hoisted the National flag amidst an atmosphere of patriotic passion and gaiety in the main function organized at the Lalbagh Maidan of Jagdalpur. The Chief Minister inspected the took the salute of impressive ceremonial parade.
In his speech, Baghel said that every word of the Constitution had been written with the unwavering intention of ensuring justice for all. With this unshakable courage that they have inherited for justice, they have made it the main mantra of the state government. “We have considered it our first duty to provide justice to the weakest sections of the society and to empower them. It is because of this faith in justice, we have been able to serve Chhattisgarh Mahtari and all the sections of society with dedication,” Baghel added.
The Chief Minister said that nutritional fortified rice, which contains iron folic acid, was distributed in 12 districts under Mid-Day Meal Scheme and Supplemental Nutrition Diet Scheme. The distribution of fortified will be commenced for all PDS ration card holders in all the districts from April 2023. He announced free distribution of monthly entitlement rice from January 2023 to December 2023 to Antyodaya, priority, single destitute (ekal nirihkshit) and disabled (nihshaktjan) ration card holders.
The other announcements include developing Aerocity near Swami Vivekananda Airport with the objective to promote facilities for the passengers and ensure commercial development of the airport area and to generate employment at Raipur Airport. A rural industry policy will be formulated in Chhattisgarh to strengthen cottage industry based rural economy, to provide more employment opportunities and to boost income of the people, Baghel said, adding that units located in industrial areas developed by the Industries Department will be exempted from the property tax.
Kharun River, the lifeline and center of public faith for Raipur and Durg district, is also an important center of trade and entertainment. Excellent river water front will be developed on Kharun River. Followed by the excellent response to the Bijli Bill Half Scheme, state-of-the-art system for online complaint and redressal will be developed for the convenience of electricity consumers.
A scheme will be introduced to provide financial aid of Rs 50,000 to the construction workers, who have registered under Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board for three consecutive years, for construction of their own houses. Baghel said the people of Chhattisgarh have immense faith in ‘Bhancha Ram’ and ‘Mata Kaushalya’ and to honour the faith and sentiments of people towards this legend, National Ramayana / Manas Mandali Festival will be organized every year.
Chhattisgarh is the land of Mata Kaushalya. Kaushalya Mahotsav will be organized every year in Chandkhuri, he added.
