Sinter Plant 3 of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), an entity of state-run Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), celebrated its 21st Foundation Day with great zeal and enthusiasm on Saturday.
The occasion was marked by a series of activities and events to commemorate the achievements of the past 21 years.
A special function to celebrate the occasion was organized. Anirban Dasgupta, Director In-Charge, BSP was Chief Guest on the occasion. Tapas Dasgupta, CGM I/c Iron, Asit Saha, CGM I/c M&U, S V Nandanwar, CGM (Int Audit), Tarun Kanrar, CGM(CO-CCD), S K Gajbhiye, CGM(Mech,), D L Moitra CGM(Envt) and other senior officials from the Bhilai Steel Plant joined the SP-III collective in the celebrations.
Former employees of Sinter Plant-III were also invited to grace the occasion and bless the SP-III collective. All the guests acknowledged the contributions made by Sinter Plant 3 to Bhilai Steel Plant. A short film showcasing the journey of SP-3 over the last 21 years was also released.
The management of Sinter Plant 3 paid tribute to the hard work and dedication of its employees & contractual workers, followed by lighting of lamps, cutting of cake, and releasing of balloons with messages of safety, success, and prosperity. Celebratory sweets were also distributed.
In his address to the gathering, Director In-Charge Anirban Dasgupta congratulated Team SP-3 for their recent achievements and team work and urged them to strive for further milestones. He also emphasized the importance of safety during work.
“We are proud to mark this significant milestone in the history of Sinter Plant 3,” said Anup Kumar Dutta, CGM SPs. “The past 21 years have been a journey of growth, learning, and achievement, and we are grateful to our employees and their families for their unwavering support.”
Bhilai Steel Plant is a symbol of India’s industrial prowess and has been at the forefront of the country’s steel production for over six decades. Sinter Plant 3 has played a key role in this success and will continue to work towards a sustainable and prosperous future for all.
The programme was organised under the leadership of Shri M.R.K.Shariff, GM I/c SP-III and the entire team of SP-III worked hard to make the event a grand success.
