Abducted boy burnt to death in Bihar

The police have discovered the half-burnt body of 13-year-old Tushar Kumar who was kidnapped from Sanhauli village on March 16.

The preliminary investigation suggested that the boy was killed the same evening. The reported kidnapper and Director of a school, Mukesh Kumar has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Senior SP of Patna R K Mishra on Sunday said Tushar, a class sixth student and son of Raj Kishore Pandit, was kidnapped on March 16 while returning from a coaching institute. He was abducted from Sanhauli under Bihta police station, 15 kms from here.

His parents received voice messages till 8 pm the same day asking them to pay Rs 40 lakhs as ransom for release of Tushar. Repeated whatsapp messages were sent by the kidnapper for ransom. The kidnapper had used the mobile set of Tushar.

They had warned his parents not to inform the police nor any villager and threatened to kill Tushar if violated the warning. Mishra said the kidnapper had set fire to the student with petrol and later used a knife to slit his neck. Half burnt body was found in a field this morning.

During interrogation, the kidnapper told the police that he had burnt the student within two hours of abduction. Police found the mobile set of Tushar from the field.

According to police, Tushar had studied in the school of Mukesh for two years. He reportedly told police there was a debt burden of Rs 20 lakhs on him and he wanted to clear the debt by demanding ransom money.
