Manishi Singh has brought laurel for the state of Chhattisgarh by bagging the silver medal in the 45th Yonex-Sunrise Indian Masters National Badminton Championship 2022-23 held in Goa.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel congratulated Manishi for the feat. In a tweet posted from the Chief Minister Office, Baghel said, “Congratulation and best wishes to the daughter of Chhattisgarh for bagging silver medal 45th Yonex-Sunrise Indian Masters National Badminton Championship 2022-23 held in Goa.”
In the Masters category of the tournament held from March 19 to 26, the women’s singles final match was held between Rajasthan’s Himani Punia and Manishi. She was awarded the silver medal.
Manishi, who works with the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, has made a place in the masters’ category of the Indian team on the basis of her excellent performance. Now she will represent the country in the international badminton competition to be held in Seoul, South Korea. Earlier also, she has represented Chhattisgarh in national and international level competitions of Badminton.
The Board of Secondary Education and a large number of well-wishers have also extended best wishes to Manishi for the best performance in the upcoming competitions.
Manishi Singh is wife of Amit Singh, who is Head Corporate Affairs with Vedanta Limited, leading global natural resources conglomerate operating across India, South Africa, Liberia and Namibia.
