Mrs Chhaya Mishra, a prominent woman lawyer of Patna High Court, has suggested increasing and bettering institutional arrangements for the women lawyers in High Court, district and sub-divisional courts.
Mrs Mishra, who is contesting the Advocates Association elections for the vice president post scheduled on April 7, in her interaction with women advocates of High Court, Patna, Danapur and City Civil courts, regretted the proportional representation of women in the Bar was very poor. In her campaign, she recommended opening of creches in the courts buildings to facilitate young women lawyers to fulfil familial responsibilities.
She also said there should be hygienic independent toilets for women lawyers and litigants, witnesses in all courts. As she gets wider support, she said the association would work WiFi on the courts premises, digital libraries and to retain young talents in the Bar, Rs 25,000 monthly stipend at entry level.
Mrs Chhaya Mishra said she would impress upon the High Court administration to facilitate life streaming of court proceedings for the students of Patna Law College, Chanakya National Law University to have moot court teachings for the law students.
A former joint secretary of Advocates Association, Mrs Chhaya Mishra has reached out to all chambers of advocates who extended their support to her.
