SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Merchant Mill has once again created new day production and shift records with two furnaces running for the second day in a row.
The Mill that rolls out TMT Bars and light structural including angles produced 1972 Tonnes on April, 07, 2023.
Interestingly, just a day earlier on April, 06, the Mill also recorded a new high in day-production record of 1960 T surpassing previous record of 1930 T, on Sep, 07, 2022. Besides, the mill also made a new shift record in the night shift on April, 07, of rolling 723 Tonnes of TMT 25 with two furnaces surpassing the previous record of 718 T made on Sep, 09, 2022.
This feat of substantially increased production was made possible by continuous monitoring and hard-work of the mill personnel. Shri Anirban Dasgupta, Director I/c (BSP) and Sr. management of BSP have congratulated the entire Merchant Mill team and its associated departments for the record-breaking performance.
