Raigarh, June 19
Twenty-six people were injured when the bus in which they were travelling rammed into a railway over bridge (ROB) in Raigarh district on Monday morning.
Of the injured, the condition of two was reported to be critical.
The Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP), Deepak Mishra said the incident took place near Gharghoda. In the mishap, 26 people were injured while the condition of two was reported to be critical, Mishra said, adding that the injured have been admitted to the Raigarh Medical College.
The police have registered an offence and are investigating the matter. The preliminary investigation suggested that the driver lost control over the wheels due to high speed and the bus rammed into the bridge.
Fortunately, the bus did not break the railing and fell that could have resulted in severe casualty besides disrupting the railway tracks.
