REC marks ‘Bijli Utsav’ in Jharkhand as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

REC Limited, a Maharatna Company under the Ministry of Power, organized ‘Bijli Utsav’ at Ranchi in Jharkhand as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ that is observed to celebrate 75 years of India’s Independence.

Besides Ranchi Member of Parliament Sanjay Seth, D K Singh (DGM Ranchi), Mantosh Mani Singh (DGM, RP, JBVNL), Himanshu, EEE (West), JBVNL and Anjan Lahiri, Chief Program Manager, REC Limited along with other local representative and officials of JBVNL were present on the occasion.

The event witnessed various sessions by dignitaries and esteemed guests highlighting Energy conservation, consumer rights, challenges faced during electrification in remote areas, and how the quality of life improved with access to power. Beneficiaries from the villages were also invited to share their experience and views on how electricity had transformed their lives. The event concluded with the distribution of LED bulbs to the beneficiaries.
