Tejashwi will not resign, says JDU president

Patna, July 4

Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Prasad Yadav will not resign, announced the JDU national president,Lallan Singh on Tuesday.

Singh said the CBI charge sheet against the Deputy Chief Minister was based on false facts and claimed Tejashwi was innocent. He had been questioned twice by the CBI in New Delhi and nothing incriminating was found against him

He regretted Tejashwi had been implicated falsely in the land for railway jobs scam after Nitish Kumar joined hands with the RJD in August last year.

Bihar cabinet met here under the chairmanship of Nitish Kumar. However, Tejashwi was not present as he is in London and is expected to return on July 10. He was summoned by CBI court on July 12.

Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry today provided Y plus security cover to Santosh Kumar Manjhi, son of the HAM(S) President Jeetan Ram Manjhi. Junior Manjhi had resigned from Nitish cabinet last month. They had met the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah and offered to join NDA.

Santosh is the fourth leader from Bihar who have been extended Y plus security cover in the last four months. Earlier, the former Union Minister and RLSP President Upendra Kushwaha, LJP(RV) President Chirag Paswan, Vikashsheel Insaan Party President Mukesh Sahni were given Y plus security cover from the Centre.

Sahani was fisheries minister in Nitish cabinet and Kuswaha was chairman of the parliamentary board of JDU before he quit the party. He had resigned from the legislative council too.All of them are now supporting NDA.
