Six Chhattisgarh hospitals honoured with NQAS certificate

Six government hospitals in Chhattisgarh were honoured with the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certificate by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Recognised for their exceptional healthcare service and improved patient care, the awarded healthcare centres include four primary health centres and two community health centres. Following an assessment conducted by experts from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare between April and June, the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate was awarded to these hospitals.

The Udaipur Community Health Centre in Surguja district and the Bagbahara Community Health Centre in Mahasamund have received the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Additionally, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate to Jarve Primary Health Centre in Janjgir-Champa district, Kumharawand Primary Health Centre in Bastar, Bataikela Primary Health Centre in Surguja, and Bagodar Primary Health Centre in Kanker.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare conducted an evaluation to assess the quality of services provided to patients, and Udaipur CHC received a score of 87 per cent, while Bagbahra CHC received 85 per cent in the assessment. Meanwhile, Jarve PHC scored 82 per cent, Bagodar PHC 80 per cent, Batikela PHC 76 per cent and Kumhrawand PHC 75 per cent in the assessment.

Before receiving the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate, hospitals undergo a thorough evaluation by expert teams. Various parameters, including services available to the patients, patients’ rights, inputs, support services, clinical services, infection control, quality management, and outcomes, are assessed. Only hospitals that meet these rigorous standards are granted quality certificates by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
