Chhattisgarh announces Rs 11 crore aid for Himachal victims

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has announced financial aid of Rs 11 crore for the people affected by the natural disaster in Himachal Pradesh.

In rain-battered Himachal Pradesh, over 80 people have lost their lives while thousands have been displaced. The Himalayan state was struck by flood and heavy landslides that resulted in inflicting severe damage to infrastructure. Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu termed rebuilding the damaged infrastructure as “mountain-like-challenge”.

Baghel led Chhattisgarh to express solidarity with the affected people in Himachal Pradesh. The Chief Minister dialled Sukhu yesteradt and discussed the relief and rescue work besides the assistance. Baghel assured that the country stands with the people of Himachal Pradesh in the hours of crisis.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister announced Rs 11 crore as immediate aid for the people of Himachal Pradesh and assured that all necessary efforts would be made to restore normalcy in the state.
