In a momentous occasion a remarkable statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda installed by Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) was unveiled at Ranchi Airport today,
The unveiling ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Speaker of Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha, Rabindra Nath Mahto, Member of Parliament, Sanjay Seth, Aditya Sahu; Ms. Mahua Maji, Chairman of Coal India Limited (CIL), P M Prasad; Chairman and Managing Director of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Dr. B. Veera Reddy, along with esteemed Functional Directors and CVO of CCL.
Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a legendary freedom fighter and social reformer, continues to be a source of inspiration for generations. His contributions to the struggle for tribal rights and social justice have left an indelible mark on the history of India. The newly unveiled statue at Ranchi Airport serves as a lasting tribute to his legacy and an embodiment of his enduring spirit.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, P M Prasad CMD Chairman CIL expressed his gratitude to all those who attended the event. He stated, “Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s life and ideals continue to guide us in our commitment to fulfill the energy demands of the nation through sustainable mining practices. This statue symbolizes our reverence for his principles.
CMD CCL Dr B. Veera Reddy stated that the presence of such eminent personalities reflects the significance of this occasion. The statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda stands as a beacon of hope, reminding us of the need for unity, social justice, and progress.
CCL remains steadfast in its mission to contribute to the prosperity of Jharkhand and the nation while upholding its responsibility towards environmental and social sustainability. CCL is working for the pride of Jharkhand and is committed to ensure that the legacy of the leader’s of the state is recognised and appreciated.
