The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Ujjain has passed an order imposing a penalty on the Occupier and Factory Manager, Chemical Division, Nagda of Grasim Industries Limited (GIL) under the extant provisions of the Factories Act, 1948.
The said order was passed on 12th September 2023, the company said in a regulatory filing on Sunday. “Imposition of penalty of Rs 1,00,000/- each on the Occupier and Factory Manager, Chemical Division, Nagda of the Company and the penalty has been paid thereof,” GIL said.
A complaint under Section 105 of the Factories Act 1948 was filed on 31st January 2023 before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ujjain by Factory Inspector against Occupier and Factory Manager of Chemical Division, Nagda for violation of Rule 73 E of the Madhya Pradesh Factories Rules 1962.
There is no material impact on financials, operations, or other activities of the Company due to the said order, GIL said.
