Nitish’s nightmarish election

Brand Nitish Kumar could not influence the Bihar electorate, but the Modi hai to Mumkin hai worked in the assembly elections as RJD led Grand Alliance trailed in the results. All exit polls and opinions were proven false on Tuesday.

.NDA has got 124 (with leading positions) and the RJD had 119 till late evening. And, till late Tuesday evening, the NDA leaders started preparations for the formation of the new government, according to those who attended the late night meeting at CM House.

In the first two phases of the elections held on October 28 and November 3,the NDA  could not get satisfactory results and in some districts like Kaimur and Rohtas, none of its candidates could succeed.In the first phase elections held in central Bihar districts of Jahanabad and Arwal too, their performance was worse.

For the second phase of polling, there were 14 constituencies in Patna district, but  only five BJP candidates could succeed. Its candidates, Nand Kishore Yadav, Nitin Navin, Arun Sinha, Gyanendra Kumar Gayanoo are the winners, Grand Alliance won in nine seats, CPI(ML) captured Phulwari sharif seat in urban Patna area from JDU. In Paliganjan young CPI(ML) candidate and former student of JNU university Sandip Saurabh won defeating former BJP MLA, Usha Vidyarthi (LJP) and sitting JDU MLA Jaivardhan Yadav.

 In the second phase of elections held in parts of  Mithila region,NDA did better than Grand Alliance.Veteran RJD leader and former finance minister,Abdul Bari Sidiqqui who had been getting elected to state assembly lost to BJP’s Murli Mohan Jha .In urban Darbhanga town too, BJP;s sitting MLA Sanjay Sarogi retained the seat.In Darbhanga district,out of ten seats,NDA got nine.Lalit Kumar yadav of the RJD was the lone GA winner.

.Prime Minister Narendra Modi who took up the command of the campaign for the third phase covering Seemanchal and Kosi regions having sizable Muslim and Yadav voters and from where he launched the Jungle Ke Yuvraj campaign against the Grand Alliance CM candidate,Tejashwi Prasad Yadav,was successful in checking the influence of RJD and the Congress.To surprise of  many JDU leaders,the RJD and the Congress failed to seek favours from the electorate and BJP and JDU candidates won in Purnia,Kishanganj and Araria districts.

AIMIM for the first time won five seats in Seemanchal areas  cutting into the traditional vote banks of the RJD and the Congress.In the Yadav belt of Madhepura and Saharsa too, RJD could not click and in these two districts too,JDU and BJP candidates were successful.The Jungle Ke yuvraj campaign neutralised the one million job promise in these areas.

International shooter,Shreyanshi Singh who contested as BJP candidate was successful in Jamui by 30,000 votes.Bihar assembly speaker, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary retained Sarairanjan by 1200 votes.

Two independents,Ajit Kumar won from Kanti and Sumit Kumar Singh from Chakai.

In the by-election to Lok Sabha from Balmikinagar,Sunil Kumar Sahani of JDU defeated his Congress rival,Parviesh Mishra by 30000 votes.

Victory margin of former DGof police,Sunil Kumar of JDU in Bhorey was 600 votes against CPI(ML) candidate,Jitendra Paswan.RJD’s candidate from Dehri On Sone,Fateh Bahadur Singh won by 81 votes.One winner from Bahadurganj won by four votes and Chandrika Rai(JDU),father in law of Tej Pratap yadav,son of Lalu Yadav lost by 12 only 12 votes to Chhotelal Rai of RJD..

For the first time since 1977,Left parties have performed exceedingly well and CPI(ML), CPI and CPM were successful in 16 constituencies. Ashok Chaudhiry,CPI(ML) candidate from Jiradei,birthplace of the first President,Rajendra Prasad won by 24000 votes.

Bahubalis,Anant Singh retained Barh and Reetlal Yadav Danaput as RJD candidates.Chetan Anand,son of the jailed bahubali,Anand Mohan won Sheohar as RJD candidate.However,his mother,Lovely Anand lost from Saharasa as RJD candidate.Anand Mohan is in jail as he was sentenced for life in case of murder of then DM of Gopalganj,M Krishanaaiiayh.
