Pathankot mastermind shot dead in Pakistan

India’s most wanted terrorist and the mastermind of Pathankot terror attack in 2016 Shahid Latif has been killed in Pakistan by unknown assailant on Wednesday.

Linked to terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad, terrorist Shahid Latif was arrested in1996 from Jammu in a case related to narcotics and terrorism. In 2010, Congress-UPA government had released 25 terrorists as a goodwill gesture. Terrorist Shahid Latif was one of them.

He reportedly planned the January 2, 2016, attack on the Pathankot airbase in which four attackers and two security forces personnel were killed. The operation launched by the security personnel to eliminated the terrorists inside the base continued for over 17 hours.

The terrorist was allegedly shot dead by “unknown gunmen” in a mosque at Sialkot on Wednesday.
