The two-day Heads of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Meet was held at NTPC Nava Raipur on Thursday and Friday in which O&M Heads of all NTPC Coal Stations and JVs participated.
Inaugurating the meet, Ramesh Babu V, Director (Operations) underlined the importance of O&M functionary in NTPC’s journey for excellence and growth. He congratulated the Heads of O&M for achieving the fastest-ever 300 Billion units generation by NTPC Group in FY 23-24. Besides proper planning on overhauling, timely maintenance and adherence to Safety, he asked all to put their best efforts in tandem to avoid generation loss and ensure seamless Operations and Maintenance of plants.
Joining through Virtual mode, Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC shared his views and expectations with respect O&M and emphasized on Innovation and adherence to changing regulatory norms. He also encouraged all to come up with new initiatives with a focus on competency and agility to remain competitive.
The two-day meet marked with deliberation on various issues & strategies for challenges faced in the Thermal Plant Operation & Maintenance i.e. Safety, Environment, Reduction of Forced Outages, enhancing availability, adapting to new regulatory, USSC, Ash Utilization, Environment, Norms and strategies for optimization of maintenance & overhaul procedures along with inventory and way forward for reliable & sustainable power generation.
C Sivakumar, RED (WR-II, USSC & Ash-NI); Arindam Sinha, ED-OS; Ravindra Kumar, CEO-PVUNL; P K Mishra, ED-FM, A K Samaiyar, ED (SSEA) and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
