Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed deep grief over the demise of titan of Indian industry Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan Ratan Tata.
The 86-year-old former Chairman of Tata Sons, who has put a staid and sprawling Indian conglomerate on the global stage with a string of high-profile acquisitions, breathed his last at a Mumbai hospital last night.
In his message, Sai said Ratan Tata established the Indian industry at the highest place. Indians will always remember his remarkable work in the field of education, health care, sanitation and human welfare and his contribution to strengthening the country’s economy. His spirit of simplicity, moral leadership and philanthropy was exemplary. He will always be alive in their memories.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister added his death is an irreparable loss to India and industry. His phenomenal work for the betterment of the country and society will continue to be a source of inspiration for all.
“I humbly pray to God to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members and their well-wishers,” Sai said.
