Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai cheered up the artists by playing mandar and heard the traditional instruments at the Rajyotsav—state’s foundation day that is currently underway.

In order to preserve the culture of Chhattisgarh and to promote it, an exhibition of instruments of Chhattisgarh is also organized in the Rajyotsav. Sai was visiting the different stalls set up at the Rajyotsav venue. Artist Rikhi Kshatriya presented the Mandar, a musical instrument to the Chief Minister.

Sai played the Mandar along with the musicians to boost his enthusiasm. The senior state government officials were also present on the occasion.

The prominent Chhattisgarhi musical instruments at the display included Sarangi, Nangada, Mridul, Chikara , Chikara, Kondodka, Khankhana, Kuturgi, Kheti, Mudbaja, Hulki, Mohari, Turra, Runju etc. The use of traditional musical instruments of Chhattisgarh and their usefulness were also introduced at the exhibition.
