Two forest employees dumped for tiger’s death in Chhattisgarh

The forest department has placed two employees under suspension while serving a show-cause notice to the other in connection with the death of a tiger in Chhattisgarh’s Koriya district.

The tiger was found dead in the Ramgarh forest circle under Sonhat range. The autopsy report suspected poisoning behind the possible reason for the death of wildlife.

Taking serious note of the incident, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai asked the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Forest Force Chief, V Srinivas Rao to take strict action against the officers and employees responsible for the incident.

In compliance with the instructions, Forest Guard Pitambar Lal Rajwade and Forester Rampratap Singh of Ramgarh Circle of Range Sonhat under have been suspended. An explanation has been sought from Forest Range Officer Vinay Kumar Singh regarding the death of the tiger.

The Chief Minister has directed the officers and employees of the forest department to perform their duties diligently for the protection of forests and conservation of wildlife. He said that in case of any negligence in this regard, strict action will be taken against those responsible.
