In a significant milestone towards sustainability, Central Warehouse Jamshedpur, under Group Strategic Procurement, Tata Steel, has been awarded the prestigious Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Net Zero Energy Rating and Certification.
The award was given away on November 14 at the Green Building Congress 2024 (GBC 2024) held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru, India.
The certification, audited by the IGBC team, recognizes the warehouse’s exceptional energy efficiency and commitment to sustainable practices. This achievement underscores Tata Steel’s dedication to reducing its carbon footprint and promoting eco-friendly infrastructure. The warehouse’s net-zero status serves as a benchmark for sustainable industrial facilities across India.
