A high-level committee will be constituted in Madhya Pradesh to encourage the production of millets in the state.
Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has suggested that a committee of agricultural experts and departmental officers should be formed and an action plan be made to encourage the production of coarse grains i.e. millets in the state as intended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Farmer representatives should also be compulsorily included in the committee. The Chief Minister gave the instructions during the review meeting of the Agriculture Department on Sunday at Samatva Bhawan, Chief Minister’s residence.
