The second week of January has great significance for those who love nature and horticulture as all eyes are set on Gandhi Udyan that blooms with the enchanting flower show organised by Jindal Steel and Power (JSP) in collaboration with Prakriti Ki Or Society.

For the last 15 years, JSP has been organising the event at Gandhi Udyan, located in the heart of Chhattisgarh capital, in the second week of January. The show was inaugurated on Friday and will conclude on Sunday. Besides state level fruit, flower, vegetable exhibition, competition will also be organized.

Participants from different places of the capital enhanced the beauty of the garden with their own flower bouquets, vegetable rangoli, colorful flowers. People throng the place for selfies. Last time more than 8000 varieties of flowers attracted their attention while this year more than 10,000 species of flowers have become the center of attraction for the people.

The program was inaugurated by Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam. While praising the programme, he congratulated the organization and also asked to bring school children to the venue to connect them with nature.

High-breed vegetables, fruits, and various varieties of Bonsai trees can be seen at one place. This time a 55-inch gourd in the garden is catching everyone’s attention that Rajesh Agarwal, working in Jindal, has grown at his home. It weighs 6 kilograms.

Chief guest former MP and Raipur South MLA Sunil Soni, MLA Raipur North Purandar Mishra, Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University Girish Chandel attended the programme. They visited all the stalls and collected information about fruits and vegetables.
