Raipur, February 11
The industrialists of Chhattisgarh will participate in the two-day Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit to be organized in Bhopal from February 24, 2025.
The President of Urla Industries Association, Ashwini Garg said a group of industrialists influenced by the industrial policy of Madhya Pradesh would attend the Summit in Bhopal. They would discuss the customized industrial policy with the Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav.
The senior officials of the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) the other day made a presentation about the policy at a programme organized in a hotel. The industrialists from the state attended the programme and took keen interest in the incentives announced on solar power generation.
Garg said the policy facilitates land in the state and also on the pockets adjoining Chhattisgarh borders at a nominal cost for the solar power projects. “The escalating power tariff in Chhattisgarh has prevented the industry from standing tall in the competition,” Garg said, adding that the shortage of land had barred exploration of the potential of solar power plants in the state.
Solar energy can bail out the Chhattisgarh industry and even on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many solar power projects are expedited on priority. Garg said captive solar power generation had become a necessity for the local industrialists. The energy-intensive units are not viable in the dearth of solar energy, he added.
Garg said the invitation of the MPIDC had come as a big breather for the Chhattisgarh industry that looked forward to exploring the opportunities from the new industrial policy of Madhya Pradesh.
