Mrs Chhaya Mishra, Vice President of Advocates Association has demanded digitalization of documents of all practising advocates.
Mrs Chhaya Mishra regretted that the Bar Council has asked the association of lawyers to seek paper documents, including their graduation certificates physically for verification. She said at the time of enrolment and getting membership of the bar associations, all documents are submitted in original for verification.
The associations have neither resources nor men power to individually verify each and every document of lawyers. Bar Council with its rich resources can handle physical verification process smoothly, she said.
When the entire world has gone paperless, digital way, there is no logic in still retaining the 19th century exercise, she said and demanded digitalization of lawyers documents.
