The second budget of Vishnu Deo Sai government in Chhattisgarh would be presented in the state legislative assembly on March 3, 2025.
State Finance Minister O P Chaudhary will present the budget for 2025-26 on March 3, Speaker of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Raman Singh said on Sunday. He was addressing a customary press conference ahead of the budget session of the Chhattisgarh legislative assembly that will begin on Monday and will conclude on March 21, 2025. During the session, there will be 17 sittings in the House.
Singh said the session would commence with the address of Governor Ramen Deka at 11.05 am on Monday. The debate on the motion of thanks to the governor’s address will be held on February 27 and 28.
The third supplementary budget for 2024-25 will be tabled in the House on Monday, and a discussion will take place on February 25. Singh said that 2,367 notices of questions were received from the legislators, and it include 1,220 starred and 1,147 un-starred questions. In all, 122 notices were received for call attention motion.
The discussion on department-wise demands for grants for the budget 2025-26 will start on March 6 and will conclude on March 19, 2025. The discussion on the appropriation bill will be held on March 20. The House will seek approval on the same day.
