Five IAS officers get new posting in Chhattisgarh

Five officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) have been affected in a minor reshuffle executed by the Chhattisgarh government on Wednesday.

The 2012-batch IAS officer, Abhijeet Singh will be the new district collector of Durg. He was special secretary in the department of home and jail.

The new regime in the Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) has been coupled with the change in the local body Commissionerate . The incumbent municipal commissioner and 2018-batch IAS officer Abinash Singh has been transferred as district collector of Dhamtari.

Vishwadeep will succeed Abinash in the Raipur Municipal Corporation where new Mayor Meenal Choubey assumed office a week ago. Vishwadeep is a 2019-batch IAS officer.

Rena Jamil, the 2019-batch IAS officer, will be the new secretary in the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission. She will be holding the additional charge of deputy secretary with the department of commerce and industry.

Kumar Biswaranjan, the 2020-batch IAS officer, will be the new chief executive officer (CEO) of Raipur District Panchayat. He was holding the charge of chief operating officer at Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS).
