Chhattisgarh to organise mega health camp every year on March 8

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday announced that a mega health check-up would be organized every year on March 8.

Sai today inaugurated a mega health check-up camp organized in the memory of late Kumar Dilip Singh Judeo on his birth anniversary at Balasaheb Deshpande Mahavidyalaya ground located at Saliatoli under Kunkuri in Jashpur district by offering flowers to Maa Saraswati, Bharat Mata, Chhattisgarhi Mahtari and the photograph of late Kumar Dilip Singh Judeo.

The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government was constantly striving to expand health facilities in the state. “Our goal is that the citizens of the state remain healthy and the state moves towards prosperity. Working with commitment in this direction, a provision has been made to establish a medical college in Kunkuri in this year’s budget,” he said. Along with this, it has been decided to open a Government Nursing College and a Government Physiotherapy College in Jashpur, which will significantly increase health services.

Sai said that through these facilities, local citizens will get better treatment and they will not need to go to other cities for treatment. He urged the citizens present to take maximum advantage of the health camp. He said that if a serious disease is detected in any patient during the examination, then the government has made arrangements for their proper treatment in Raipur.

The Chief Minister visited the counters of various specialist departments and discussed with the doctors and expressed gratitude for their dedication and service.

It is noteworthy that the camp has been organized by the District Administration Jashpur in collaboration with AIIMS Raipur. Specialist doctors of AIIMS in Medicine, Surgery, Cancer, ENT, Eye, Bone, Kidney, Skin, Gynecology and Psychiatry are providing their services in the camp. Patients suffering from serious diseases found during examination in the camp will be referred to Raipur and provided treatment. Free medicines are also being provided in the camp. For the convenience of patients, 10 registration counters, 7 general OPD counters, 2 laboratory counters, general ward facilities are available in the camp along with separate counters for all specialist departments.

In the camp, the Chief Minister distributed Ayushman cards and Vaya Vandana cards to Sundar Yadav, Sunita Bai, Bhagwati Singh, Francis Tigga, Placidius Kerketta, Khilaso Bai under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Food baskets were also distributed to 10 TB patients under Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

Sai honored Nikshay Mitras for their commendable work in the field of serving TB patients under Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, which included CMHO Jashpur Dr. G.S. Jatra was felicitated for his significant contribution in the Prime Minister’s TB Free India Campaign by providing nutritional support to TB patients, DDM Shri Niranjan Prasad Gupta was felicitated for his significant contribution in the Prime Minister’s TB Free India Campaign by taking responsibility of all the TB patients of the Specially Backward Tribes (PVTG) Pahari Korwa and Birhor community of Jashpur district and providing nutritional support to them, and Shri Bharat Ratnam Khute was felicitated for his significant contribution in the Prime Minister’s TB Free India Campaign by providing nutritional support to TB patients.

On the occasion, MLA and Vice President of Sarguja Area Tribal Development Authority Smt. Gomti Sai, MLA Smt. Raimuni Bhagat, Commissioner Narendra Kumar Dugga, IG Ankit Garg, District Panchayat Member Shaurya Pratap Singh Judeo , Prabhal Pratap Singh Judeo , Krishna Rai, Rajesh Kumar Gupta and other officers and employees of the Health Department were present.
