Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday offered puja at Maa Durga temple located in Bagiya village of Jashpur district.
On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, the Chief Minister along with his wife Smt. Kaushalya Sai and family members worshiped the Goddess and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state.
Sai and Smt. Kaushalya Sai offered kanya bhoj to the little girls with traditional reverence and affection and received their blessings.
The Chief Minister said that worshiping and honouring girls on the occasion of Ram Navami, along with cherishing cultural roots, also revives national campaigns like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’. It gives the message that girls are not only the foundation of the family but also the development of the nation. Only their respect, protection and empowerment can fulfil the resolve of the nation’s development.
