Unidentified gunmen opened fire at Indigo Airline’s station head killing him on the spot in Patna on Tuesday evening.
The victim, who was stationed as manager with IndiGo at its Patna office for the last 12 years, had been identified as Rupesh Singh.
According to eye witnesses, Rupesh was waiting inside his car outside his apartment in Punaichak area when bike-borne attackers opened fire at him. He was living in flat number 303 of Kusum Villa Apartment in Shastri Nagar area.
The apartment guard was reportedly missing from the gate when assailants shot at least six rounds. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The police have registered a case and further investigations are underway.
