The opposition parties in Bihar will form a state-wide human chain on Saturday in support of the demands of the farmers for repealing the three controversial agriculture legislations.

Leader of opposition in Bihar assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav who presided a meeting of the leaders of opposition parties that included Congress, CPI, CPM and CPI(ML), said the proposed human chain would be formed in Patna also. He hoped farmers of the state would join the human chain.

Tejashwi said the government provoked violence on the farmers in different parts of UP and Punjab borders linking New Delhi. He assured the human chain in Bihar would be peaceful. The Opposition has also decided to have week-long agitation in support of the farmers, he said.

Leader of the Congress legislature party Ajit Kumar Sharma alleged in Bihar too, farmers were being exploited by the middlemen in absence of a sound marketing network.

Former union minister and BJP leader, Shahnawaj Husaain, who took oath as a member of the Bihar Legislative Council alleged violence on the borders of New Delhi and on Red Fort was engineered by the AAP and the Congress workers. He predicted the failure of the human chain in Bihar by claiming no one would join in view of the severe cold conditions.

Another BJP leader and former minister Nand Kishore Yadav said no farmer would join the opposition-sponsored human chain as farmers in Bihar were placed much better compared to other states.
