The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Advocates Association at Patna High Court on Friday.
Association president, Shailendra Kumar Singh who hoisted the Tri-colour, recalled the contributions of lawyers in the freedom movement.
He said lawyers like Mahatma Gandhi, Dr Rajendra Prasad, Tej Bahadur Sapru, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Brijkishore Prasad, Ram Navami Prasad were lawyers who led the freedom movement
Association Vice Presidents, Mrs Chhaya Mishra and Sanjay Pandey, General Secretary Jaishankar Prasad Singh, Joint Secretaries Ranvijay Singh, Ranjana Srivastava and Dipak Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
